Winyao WYI226T4 Quad-Port Server Adapter
Winyao WYI226T4 network card adapter is based on the Intel I226V Ethernet controller and features a PCI-E x4 design with onboard four RJ45 ports. All ports support auto-negotiation 2.5GbE/1GbE/100Mb speeds and deliver full line-rate 2.5GbE network connectivity.
This adapter is for edge computers, industrial automation, and machine vision (industrial camera) scenarios. It is suitable for multi-port 2.5G uplink, link redundancy, and traffic distribution on edge computing gateways and edge servers; multi-network isolation and deterministic communication for industrial-field PLC/IPC and control networks such as Modbus-TCP, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT; and parallel image capture and visual inspection with multiple high-resolution GigE Vision industrial cameras. Each port natively supports Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and IEEE 1588 / 802.1AS-rev precision time synchronization, providing deterministic latency for multi-device coordination and real-time stream transmission. Bandwidth at 2.5 times that of Gigabit easily handles multiple streams of HD vision data, and the low-power design is suitable for long-term stable operation in embedded and fanless industrial-control platforms.
Common Key Features
- Four Intel Ethernet Controllers I226-V
- Each controller provides one PCI Express 3.1 x1 link (5 GT/s), aggregated to the upstream interface through a PCIe switch/bridge
- Each port integrates MAC and PHY on-chip, providing 4 RJ45 copper ports
- Supports 2.5G / 1G / 100M / 10M multi-rate operation
- Supports full-duplex at all rates and 10/100 Mb/s half-duplex, with auto-negotiation and automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover detection
- Compliant with IEEE 802.3bz, IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3 specifications
- Supports jumbo frames up to 9.5 KB per port
- Supports IEEE 802.3x flow control, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, and IEEE 802.1p priority
- Each port supports IEEE 1588 precision time synchronization and 802.1AS-rev, and Time Sensitive Networking (TSN): 802.1Qav / 802.1Qbv / 802.1Qbu / 802.3br
- Supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) at 2500BASE-T / 1000BASE-T / 100BASE-TX rates
- Supports Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) when paired with an Intel vPro® platform; supports adapter teaming
Performance Features
- Supports TCP/UDP and IPv4 checksum offload (transmit and receive directions), and extended transmit descriptors
- Supports TCP Segmentation Offload (TSO) for IPv4 / IPv6 to improve throughput and reduce processor utilization
- Supports MSI and MSI-X message signaled interrupts; up to 5 dynamically allocated MSI-X vectors per port
- Supports interrupt moderation and low-latency interrupts (automatic interval adjustment can be bypassed based on data sensitivity)
- Supports scalable I/O in Linux (IPv4 / IPv6 / TCP / UDP) to improve network processing performance on multiprocessor systems
- Transmit and receive descriptor rings are managed by hardware to optimize system memory and PCIe bandwidth usage
- Supports time-aware shaper and frame preemption, providing deterministic latency for real-time control, motion control, and multi-camera vision triggering
- Supports power-managed speed control and PCIe 3.1 low-power link states; automatically lowers link rate and power when maximum performance is not required
- Each of the four ports has an independent MAC address and configuration space, simplifying multi-network isolation and independent subnet planning
